DayĀ School
A Daycare Alternative for DogsĀ Over 6 Months
Ā
Drop your dog off to school for a day packed with learning, enrichment, and progress.Ā While you're away, they'll work throughĀ our Dog Perfect training criteria, building skills step-by-step and reinforcingĀ dog neutrality in a structured setting.Ā
What is Day School?
Day School is a drop-off training program where dogs spend their day learning with experienced trainers while you're busy with your day. Dogs may attend one to four days per week, allowing families to choose a schedule that best fits their goals and lifestyle.
Training begins the moment your dog walks through our doors. Throughout their time with us, we focus on developing the foundation skills that create successful companion dogs, including dog and people neutrality, socialization, emotional regulation, impulse control, and thoughtful decision-making.
Our goal is to help dogs learn how to remain calm, focused, and confident around the world around them. These skills carry over into everyday life at home, on walks, and in public spaces.
More than Daycare
Ā
Most dog daycares focus on supervision and play. At Day School, we focus on learning.
Rather than placing dogs into large play groups, our trainers prioritize building the skills dogs need to navigate the world successfully. We focus on dog and people neutrality, helping dogs learn to remain calm, confident, and thoughtful around everyday distractions.
Our trainers are experienced in reading canine body language and creating learning opportunities that support each dog's emotional and physical wellbeing. The result is a dog that comes home fulfilled, enriched, and more prepared for everyday life, not just tired from a day of play.
Program Progression
Day TrainingĀ
Day Training is the foundation of our Day School program. During the day, your dog works one-on-one with an experienced trainer as they progress through the Dog Perfect training curriculum at their own pace.
Each dog’s day is structured aroundĀ formal training sessions, enrichment activities, walks, and scheduled rest periods in a kennel to support learning and healthy decompression.Ā
As your dog learns, our trainers provide weekly feedback and homework so you can continue building consistency at home. You’ll also receive access to the virtual Dog Perfect class for at-home practice, along with live Q&A sessions to support your training journey between visits.
The goal of Day Training is not just progress during the day, but lasting behavior change that carries over into your everyday life.
Train & PlayĀ
After completing the Dog Perfect curriculum and as our trainers get to know your dog’s personality, we may recommend Train & Play as the next step.
Train & Play is an optional program for dogs who are a good fit for small group learning and whose wellbeing supports structured social interaction. Eligibility is based on each dog’s behavior, confidence, and readiness for a group environment.
In this program, dogs move from individual Day Training into carefully managed small playgroups where they can safely interact with other dogs. They also participate in training sessions in the group setting that continue to build on our Dog Foundations.Ā
Train & Play combines appropriate social interaction with continued learning, helping dogs practice good manners and focus while engaging with other dogs in a structured setting.
