Shannon Bruening, Trainer

While growing up in Decorah, Iowa, Shannon had numerous pets including dogs, cats, goats, and horses. Due to her love for animals, Shannon decided to attend Iowa State University and pursue a major in animal science. Her favorite courses in the animal science program were Companion Animal Science and Domestic Animal Behavior and Well-Being. She thoroughly enjoyed the Companion Animal Science course which led her to become a teaching assistant for the class. During her time at Iowa State University, Shannon also volunteered at the Story County Animal Shelter as well as the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Through these classes and volunteer experiences, she developed a passion for working with dogs and further understanding animal behavior.

A fun fact about Shannon is that she was born on Christmas. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and their dog Roscoe, go horseback riding, and be outdoors. She is very excited to begin her career at Canine Craze and apply her passion and love for dogs and animal behavior to her daily work.
