To give your puppy the best start in life, your canine team will experience just how much fun learning and training can be. The fundamentals that we will cover include: sits, downs, stays, loose leash, heeling, recalls, and leave it.
Other topics covered are non verbal commands, body language, communication, tips on grooming, nail trimming, pill taking, crate training potty, training nipping, barking, and jumping. Socializing is an essential part of structuring your canine’s behavior. Our classes offer opportunities for puppies to play together and learn behavior done through games, competitions, and scavenger hunts.

Action is what entices a puppy to be playful; this class will have lots of action to work puppies mind and body. Puppies are exposed to a variety of obstacles and unfamiliar objects to help broaden their outlook. Puppies will experience different surfaces, challenge their coordination with obstacles and learn body awareness and just the fun of leaning. Confidence is built by encountering new equipment in a safe low-risk environment. Puppy Gym is a fun and educational experience for puppy and family. Children are welcome to attend!!!

Obedience
First Step for puppies and dogs 6ms and over
This is the basic level class for older puppies and adult dogs new to training. We will make sure you and your dog are developing a good, healthy relationship while teaching basic behaviors like “sit”, “down”, “stand”, “wait”. “walking on a loose leash”, “leave-it” “take it”, and “come”.
Learn proper dog handling and problem solving. Whether you are a new owner or and old hand, you will increase your rapport with your dog while improving obedience.
Second Step for puppies and dogs 6ms and over
Second Step class consists of the five behaviors presented in First Step and working through what is called the “maintenance stage” of training. In order to participate in this class your dog must know how to sit, drop, and stand on cue, have been introduced to leash walking, and be able to stay for five seconds with handler standing beside dog. In this class we provide you with the tools you need to generalize behaviors with your dog. We will take short field trips to different places on the property (weather permitting) and work with all the basic obedience behaviors from different positions, on different surfaces, and with higher distraction levels.
Prerequisite: First Step or instructor approval
Canine Good Citizen Class
Is your dog a “Canine Good Citizen”? To demonstrate and reward your dog’s basic good manners at home and in the community, and your responsible pet ownership, the American Kennel Club (AKC) started the CGC certification program in 1989. We have just the class to attain this certification.
All dogs and owners who pass the CGC test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club and are automatically recorded in the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Archive.
Our CGC class prepares dogs and owners for the test. Enrollment in this class is available to students who have graduated from our “First Step” class or permission from instructor.

Leadership
The leadership class is one of a kind. Using the resources from several different dog behaviorists we have developed a class for those who need to gain better control of their dog. This class will help assist you on how to handle jumping behaviors, leash walking behaviors, and leave-its. Handlers will learn exceptional skills on different ways to use their own body to gain control of a situation.
Prerequisite: To enter this class your dog must know how to sit, drop, and stand on cue.
